Coma to Kona

After a few months of the Coma Man to Iron Man blog, the style and substance went into formative hibernation and is now awakening as Coma to Kona.  A simpler title with much more to offer.  In the blog’s “off-season,” I have gone through some personal formation which involved running a couple more races, riding another century ride and becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and taking Sumit’s yoga teacher training.

In the blog’s hibernation, I realized a few things regarding it’s effectiveness in communicating the story of Coma Man to Iron Man.  The most glaring realization was that I was speaking in a jargon that some, er, most don’t understand.  I just assumed that my readers knew what terms like AMRAP, EMOM and Tabata meant, and could realize how heavy a pood was.  Sorry about that.  The new “Coma to Kona” will assume nothing and explain all the CrossFit and other jargon so as not to confuse or turn anyone off.

Kona, isn’t that in Hawaii? Yes it is, and also the location of the Ironman World Championship, my new ultimate triathlon destination.   I must give credit to my fellow yogi, Lori Jones for the great new title, the great new goal.  I told my class of Sumit’s Yoga teachers about my blog, and Lori came up to me the next morning and asked “isn’t the championship of the Ironman in Kona?” I had not really considered Kona, but my fellow yogi told me her revelation: “Coma to Kona!”  It stuck, what a great idea.

So, Coma to Kona, a new goal, a more focused goal and a more polished product.  Don’t you want to come with me to Kona?
